This is a quality light that is great as a backup or if you feel like you need added visibility. I would not use it as a primary light unless you live somewhere that is very dark at night. I ride in the city of Chicago, so I prefer *major* visibility. This is great for stashing in your seat bag, or a pocket, so that you always have something on hand. It is also waterproof. I've used it for snorkeling in low light natural spring conditions (so my husband and I could see each other better).
